Happy Fathers Day!

Today we cut down a small Lilikoi tree from the rainforest behind the house and brought one of its branches home to make a jungle gym for the bird. Rick used a pocket knife to strip it of its bark. Solene was such a good helper! Believe it or not, the gym was a total success!

Poor Solene has had a rough weekend. It started when she stopped in the hall and Rick accidentally bumped her in the butt sending her forehead into the door jam. It wasn't two hours later, our little "fruit bat" was hopping around the living room on her hands and knees with a sheet over her head, and well, there was the coffee table.... I am sure you can guess the rest.

As for the elbow, that is an old war wound from school. I think she said it had something to do with climbing higher than Jerry Boy on the monkey bars.

She is really proud of her "shiner" though. Rick just told her to tell the other kids at school that she beat up a second grader. Ha Ha, NOT funny dad!

Someone said these things happen at age 5. I think I need to go buy some skateboard pads and a crash helmet for my little Calamity Jane, just so she will survive until age 6!

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid!

	Rick took Solene out of the surfboard. She really gave him a workout when it came to "catching waves"
Meanwhile, back on the beach... I did what I do best... Chat on the phone. Yea, I would like two Spicy Tuna rolls, a Rainbow roll and a large Saki please. Ha Ha Ha
New meaning to the words "sun your buns" Mine are Glowing! Ha Ha
Like Mother Like Daughter =)	Solene had SUCH a good day!
	Our Little Monkey Yes, those are her feet. Jungle Jane there decided to swing on the vines from one of the trees. Ha Ha. She is lucky she didn't fall on her little nose!

When she finally got the hang of it, it was all we could do to keep her from acting the part of a primate!

A day at Ko Olina

The rescue was a success!

Pee Wee did really well for his first time at the beach, though he wanted his mama ALL the time. I think the ocean made him a bit nervous.

We made a makeshift perch for Pee Wee to hang out on. He liked to watch us swim. Isn't the cove just lovely!

He got to be such a pest! I now have a tan line of a Too on my chest! LOL!

August 2003 The Move Begins... For Real

Sometime in the middle of the night, after getting soaked by sprinklers the kids made it inside for the rest of the night. This was breakfast.

Rick helped J.C., Christina, Jean, Stephanie and Solene set up the tent for their sleep-over. They camped in the backyard

Ben got up first thing and took Myrtle for a run down to the vineyards and back. The Marines had quite an impact on him.

Solene took PeeWee into the backyard to teach him how to use the swing. She drags that poor little bird everywhere with her. Myrtle isn't quite sure what to think of the whole thing, she stayed inside with me watching the Witches of Eastwick. Yeah baby, Yeah!

All the kids came over to prepare the garage wall for Thanksgiving. They had a blast being creative and making a mess. Once again, I took more pictures but my camera only accepted one. Sorry =(
