Decided to go to Kailua for a change of pace,  It was quite the relaxing day.  Solene even grew her very own "Soul Patch"

March 25th
Solene's school was closed for spring break so Rick decided to stay home with her.  Needless to say, "any idiot can watch a kid"  has now left his vocabulary.  While at work I received a phone call,  Rick was trying to find out how Solene got blue marker on the couch,  I then heard him exclaim "holy cow" and  he had to get off the phone,  a few minutes later I received an email,  this is what I received....

My beautiful Angel, Baby, Darling little girl who would NEVER do this,  Ha Ha Ha,

After Rick got her cleaned up, he asked her to go upstairs and get dressed,  The results?

This is hands down my most favorite place on the island.  It is the Ko' Olina Resort and it is beautiful!  The grounds are impeccably manicured and the water is gorgeous!  There are 4 man-made lagoons to chose from,  the water is never choppy and sea life abounds.  Between the Beach Bar and Golf Course you couldnt ask for anything more.  It is a little slice of heaven.

Seeing Double?  Naaa, just a really kewel mistake

Solene's first experience as a mermaid

OH NO! Getting washed away!

We all had a wonderful time,  and plan on going back again tomorrow!  =)

March 15, 2003

Spent the Day at a place called the Discovery Center.  Solene and her friends Cade and Summer had a blast using their Imagination. I am not sure who had a better time,  the kids or their parents.

Solene tried on several different occupations,  from ship captain to
Firewoman.  But it seems like she liked movie star better.  Solene and her friends put on a play for all the parents,  it was a smashing success,  Solene was a Bunny, Summer a little old lady and Cade a Frog,  Once the Giraffe showed up the play was complete.

These are our family portraits for March.  As you can see our pineapple is growing by leaps and bounds.  Oh, and did we mention the baby gecko?  He guards our baby
pineapple and does a great job of it too!

Wine Tasting at Jeff's Ranch
The wine tasting was a huge success,  the food and wine were spectacular.  Everyone had a great time, especially the children who bounced on the trampoline and kept all the adults busy by just being plain adorable.

Solene and her friends Dylan and  Justice had a blast blowing bubbles, feeding the horses and roasting marshmallows.

                                                    Chelsey and Molly..... Nuff Said!

                                         February 2003.
We have been watching a bunch of Depeche Mode videos from the 80's
and listening to Siouxie and the Banshees.    Guess Solene "felt the 80's"
as she went upstairs, dug into her box of dress up clothes
and came out looking like Blondie.  Hee Hee,  Our little girl has style!

                                                        80's style  =)

Rick and Solene at Waiamae Beach....
Someone forgot their suit, but did it stop her?
                                           Naaaaaa

It is REALLY relaxed here.  Even the Paper boy
falls asleep on Sunday morning.  Just leave your
money in his hat and "take only one please"
