April 19, 2003

Mom and Dad come to visit!

Mom's first visit to Hawaii!  We are having a great time.  First stop, Pineapple ally North Shore.

The Two Men in my life =)

From there it was off to Pipeline and then blowhole with a pit stop at Haliewa Joes for sushi and cocktails.

Mom, Dad and Solene watching the whales off the South Shore coast

Dad and Solene,  wearing pants didn't stop him from playing in the water.

South Shore Coast

Blowhole!

Today was not a good day to be in the water

Surf's Up!

Day Two,
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
Having so much fun!  Okay.... so it rained all morning but the day turned out perfect!

Solene finally gets her kitty.  She is so excited.

  Aloha from the Sheraton Waikiki.

Mom and Dad on the pier in Waikiki.

Someone is going in the water, you just wait and see

Sand Castle Champions!
Mom and Solene had a ton of fun playing at Ko Olina

Oh Cabana Boy.... Where's my martini?    =)

Day 4

Grandma and Grandpa enjoying their coffee before taking Solene out on the Catamaran.  We shall see who comes home dry.  Grandpa hasn't sailed in years!

Solene and her grandma! (please note; they are dry!) Hee Hee Hee

Day 6

Breakfast at the Royal Hawaiian.  (My absolute  favorite hotel on Oahu)

Hula!
I have no idea what kind of story we were telling with our dancing, but the locals covered their eyes when they walked by.  It was a time to remember. =)

These, are supposed to go in there?   Ha Ha, yeah right!

Grandma doing the dance for more Aldo Luongo Paintings

Um mom?  I don't think these are going to fit me.
Chelsey, doing the "I wish these DID fit me" dance

Solene is the only one that was able to get this whole hula thing right!
Solene doing the dance of the sugar plum princess.

Rick..... Not sure if Rick should be doing the hula or serving fried rice. Ha Ha Ha

Grandpa doing the "Sake and Sushi" dance.  ie: after doing this you had better blame it on the sake and sushi!

Grandpa could never pass as a woman.

Day 7
A day at the Polynesian Cultural Center and our first traditional Luau!

We had a great time.  I can honestly say that we were too busy to even take pictures.  I think I can safely say that Samoa was our favorite, they climbed trees, played with fire and our guide was hysterical!  The after dinner show was fantastic!  A must see.

These guys were "hams!"  They loved to be in the spotlight.
FYI, that tree he is climbing is about 3 stories tall!

Solene and Chelsey get to be princesses for a day.
